Biografia
Cesar Julio Romero Jr. nasceu em Nova York, em 15 de fevereiro de 1907. Filho de um empresário com uma cantora cubana, teve a vida mudada drasticamente quando seus pais perderam tudo durante a Depressão de 1929. A carreira de Romero começou no início da década de 30 e ele pode ajudar os pais. Em 1942 ele se alistou voluntariamente na Guarda Costeira dos Estados Unidos, e serviu no Teatro do Pacífico.
Devido ao seu tipo físico, sua carreira ficou estagnada em papéis latinos durante as décadas de 30 a 50. Alguns de seus filmes de destaque foram The Thin Man, Weekend in Havana e Springtime in the Rockies. Durante a década de 40 atuou ao lado de Carmen Miranda.
Ele teve uma carreira forte também na televisão onde participou no The Martha Raye Show durante a década de 50 e Zorro. Ele também fez pequenas participações no Lucy-Desi Comedy Hour. Mas o ator se tornou mais conhecido como o Coringa, da série televisiva Batman.
Na vida pessoal, Romero acreditava na teologia da libertação e era um cristão dedicado. Romero nunca se casou e também não teve filhos. O ator morreu aos 86 anos de pneumonia em Em 1 de janeiro de 1994.
