Biografia

Nascida em Londres, em 1932, Liz Taylor desde cedo teve aulas de balé e etiqueta. Em 1939 a família toda foi morar em Beverly Hills. A garota sempre chamava a atenção por onde passava, por causa da sua beleza. E, por conta disso, foi descoberta aos 10 anos por caçadores de talentos. Estreou no cinema em There’s one Born every minute (1942). Na MGM fez filmes como Lassie (1943), A mocidade é assim mesmo (1944) e Nossa vida com papai (1947). De criança prodígio passou a mulherão, em filmes como O papai da noiva (1950).
Seu primeiro Oscar veio com Disque butterfield (1960), o seu segundo foi com “Quem tem medo de Virginia Wolf?” (1966). Com uma carreira longa, sua ultima aparição foi no filme These Old Broads, para a TV, em 2001.
Nos últimos tempos Liz tem se dedicou a levantar recursos para pesquisas, como contra a AIDS, além de sua linha de perfumes.
A atriz Elizabeth Taylor faleceu vítima de complicações cardíacas depois de dois meses internada no Hospital Cedars-Sinai. A comunicação foi feita pela sua família atravpes do comunicado que informava que no momento ela estava cercada de seus filhos Michael Wilding, Christopher Wilding, Liza Todd e Maria Burton. Liz, também tinha 10 netos e quatro bisnetos.
